Saturday, September 12: The L.A. Beach Cities Modern Home Tour

Modern Home Tours is kicking off its fall season on the West Coast! On Saturday, September 12, step foot inside several of the most uniquely-designed modern homes in Los Angeles.

This year’s lineup of homes explores how “modern” can manifest in economically-designed, environmentally-green spaces. One home, designed by YU2E, is crafted in direct response to its typically small urban lot in Venice so that the claustrophobia of urban living is substituted for a stress-free coastal lifestyle. Another home, a smart remodel of a bungalow tucked away in the Silver Triangle neighborhood and designed by OPENHAUSdesign, employs a stackable car lift among other space-maximizing techniques. A third home, by Rockefeller Partners Architects, is an exercise in careful space planning that features an open green space and interior Zen garden within the confines of its narrow 30 x 90-foot envelope in Manhattan Beach.Don’t miss the chance to explore these and the several other incredible spaces that will be featured on next weekend’s tour!

Beverly Grove House

 Our client Avi Osadon of See Construction sent over this great video of the Beverly Grove House - his latest project now finished.  We provided the structural and civil engineering for this amazing house now on the market in Beverly Hills.  Engineering design included the main house, parking deck, pool, pool house, site retaining walls, grading, drainage and LID.

C. W. Howe Partners Inc. is Pleased to Announce the Completion of the Civil and Structural Engineering of the Utah Campus with Beautiful Results.

 A commercial remodel that entailed the change of use of 190,000 square feet of a 1970's industrial warehouse to a new creative office space. The project was a complete lateral upgrade that was designed with steel braced frames at the bathroom core and the exterior walls. Over 75% of the solid walls were removed and a new mechanical platform was added to the roof for an extensive HVAC system.
