Our annual Holiday Party was a success thanks to amazing artists (Hung, Heather, Ginger, Chloe, Jennifer, Bill and Karen), a fantastic band, delicious tacos, flowing drinks and exciting conversation.  Happy Holidays!

Farewell Nam - we will miss you!

After 6 years and 6 months of having the pleasure of working with Nam Pai we are saddened to announce he has moved on to a new position in his native Korea.  Nam is a dedicated and talented engineer and we will miss him dearly!  The team at C.W. Howe wish he and his wife the very best with their new adventure and look forward to their visits in the future.

Pool house awarded an AIA-LA 2012 Design Award

A little pool house in South Pasadena that we engineered in 2010 with Architect Koning Eizenberg has been published in Architectural Record and was also awarded an AIA-LA 2012 Design Award.  Check it out in the link below.

Devis Purdy Residence in Dwell

As I am browsing through Pinterest this Sunday night I come across an architectural pin of a colorful mid century modern remodel to suit a young artistic couple with two children.  I think the house looks familiar and sure enough, it is the Devis-Purdy remodel we did with Taalman Koch Architects in Los Feliz.  A wonderful article in Dwell's July August 2012 issue all about the remodel.  Check it out below.

2012 Summer BBQ

The office kicked off our summer last weekend with a BBQ at Carl Howe's house.  The food was delicious, drinks refreshing and fun was had by all.  Little ones seem to be the life of the party these days!

Minarc Panelized Building System "MnM" in Architect's Newspaper

C.W. Howe Partners Inc. is know for our expertise and development of several panelized residential systems over the years.  See the article in Architect's Newspaper about the two story steel and styrofoam kit-of-parts system we engineered for Minarc Architects in Venice.  This was our first panelized system with Tryggvi and it turned out beautifully!

After a restful and rejuvenating holiday we are back in full force at the C.W. Howe Partners office.  On this second day of 2013 we welcomed two new engineers to our team, Ryan Tolmer and Wilson Hernandez.  We've started out this year with a bang and hope for a prosperous year with exciting projects and out of the box thinking.  See our website 'team profile' page to find out more about our team.

2011 Summer BBQ

C.W. Howe Partners Inc. had their annual event in the form of a BBQ at Principal Katie Baad’s house on Saturday August 27^th.  Burgers, hot links and lots of fun was had by the CWHP team, their friends and family.  Carl and Katie also surprised the team with jobsite/laptop bags personalized with each individuals name and company logo as a ‘thank you’ for everyone’s hard work over this busy 2011 summer.  The bags were filled with goodies like architectural scales, clipboard, measuring tape and flashlights.  Us engineers classify these items as goodies.
