Home Tours is kicking off its fall season on the West Coast! On Saturday,
September 12, step foot inside several of the most uniquely-designed modern
homes in Los Angeles.
This
year’s lineup of homes explores how “modern” can manifest in
economically-designed, environmentally-green spaces. One home, designed by YU2E,
is crafted in direct response to its typically small urban lot in Venice so
that the claustrophobia of urban living is substituted for a stress-free
coastal lifestyle. Another home, a smart remodel of a bungalow tucked away in
the Silver Triangle neighborhood and designed by OPENHAUSdesign,
employs a stackable car lift among other space-maximizing techniques. A third
home, by Rockefeller
Partners Architects, is an exercise in careful space planning that
features an open green space and interior Zen garden within the confines of its
narrow 30 x 90-foot envelope in Manhattan Beach.Don’t miss the chance
